It knows who’s home

Through the devices on the network and in the house, Verity recognizes who is there and who comes or goes — discreetly, with no one having to check in. The lights welcome the right person, the heating doesn’t run for an empty house, and the evening prepares itself as the family arrives. Presence becomes comfort, not a tally.

And roughly where the family is

When they choose to, members of the household share their location — not to the meter, but fuzzy: “home”, “nearby”, “out”. Through geo-fencing the home knows when someone is approaching and prepares accordingly. Each person decides what they share and with whom; no one is tracked. It’s a quiet reassurance — above all with children, or with older parents who live independently and yet should never be alone.

It senses motion — and makes sense of it

Motion detection through sensors, audio and video tells the home which rooms are alive. Light comes on where someone is and goes off where no one remains; scenes follow people instead of a rigid schedule. The same perception sharpens security at night — the home tells the midnight trip to the kitchen apart from something that shouldn’t be there.

The most revealing data — kept at home

Who is home and when, and where the family is, is some of the most sensitive information there is. It lives only in your home — stored locally, with no presence or location profile taking shape anywhere else. No one can read it, not even us. No presence or location profile is mined or passed on. The home senses you — and keeps it to itself.
